FNF Cardiff : About Us

Cardiff Branch like all of the Families Need Fathers Both Parents Matter Cymru branches in Wales always extends a warm welcome to anybody caught up in problems of contact with children in their family. Often it is the dads who come along, but partners and family are also welcomed. We have a lot of grandparents who come to us.

We are incredibly lucky because we can offer pro-bono advice from two well-respected solicitors' firms. Helen Battrick comes from Battrick Clark Solicitors based in Bristol and Chris Davison from Hopkins Law Ltd in Cardiff.

Each meeting starts by identifying those who need urgent legal advice and then those who would like legal advice.

While the solicitors help individuals, the group raises questions which often others can help with. Often we have Kerry Mordey who is one of our trustees at the meeting and she too is a solicitor based at Hopkins Law Ltd.

We try to have speakers and guests who either work in the field of family breakdown or are involved with organisations which can improve things for parents and grandparents struggling to make sure the children know they do have family who love them.
